FAQ
What is a render?
A cache miss: the first time we see a template + parameter combination. Serving it again is free and does not count.
Do all renders cost one credit?
A standard template render (POST /v1/images with a template, or a signed GET /i or public GET /p URL) costs 1 credit. Rendering your own raw HTML through POST /v1/images costs 2 credits. A card built from a page URL (auto mode, paid plans) costs 3 credits for the page's first render, once per page per 90 days, or 5 with an AI hint (2 when the page is already paid in its window); each further new hint on the page adds 2. Serving the same card again is free.
What happens when I hit my cap?
Depends on the path. Signed GET /i: up to 10% grace, then a further 10% of your cap in fresh watermarked renders over 7 days — repeat params keep serving from cache, new ones fall back to a generic image once that budget runs out. Public GET /p never renders fresh once you're over cap — it serves only an already-cached image or the generic fallback. Direct POST /v1/images: 429 quota_exceeded immediately, no watermark, no fallback. We also email you at 80% and 100% of your cap.
Do unused credits roll over?
On paid plans, yes: what you did not use of your monthly credits carries into the next month, up to one month's cap. Rolled-over credits are used first and expire after that one month.
Are there overage charges?
No. The price is the price. Need more, move up a plan.
Is every feature really on every plan?
Every template, format, size, signing mode and the no-watermark-in-quota rule — yes, all plans, no gating. What differs by plan: render volume, auto mode and short links (paid plans only), and free-tier stored renders auto-delete after 30 days (paid plans keep renders until you ask us to delete them). Go over your cap on any plan, including Free, and see the grace rule above.
Can I cancel?
Any time from the dashboard. Your plan runs to the end of the period, then drops to Free.

Full refund within 14 days of first payment, no questions asked. See the Refund policy
How do I pay?
Card, via Paddle, who handles invoices and VAT.
Can I buy extra credits?
Yes, on any paid plan: a one-time top-up adds 4,000 credits for $10. They are used once your plan's monthly credits are used up and expire 12 months after purchase. If you move to Free, your unused top-up credits are kept but on hold until you subscribe again.
What does auto mode cost?
3 credits per unique page, once every 90 days. With an AI hint or a screenshot read, the page's first card is 5 credits (2 when the page is already paid in its window), each further new hint on the same page adds 2, and the same hint again is free. Showing the card again, refreshing it inside those 90 days and changing only how it looks (font, background, format, size) cost nothing. A page counts by its host, path and meaningful query parameters; utm_ tags, fbclid, gclid, ref and the fragment are ignored.
